Total wash out! But a weekend is a weekend rain or shine! Jam packed as usual…I went with out-of-town friends to Union Provisions downtown on King Street. Another fabu addition to the restaurant/bar scene on upper King. Beautifully renovated space, adorable bartenders and delicious cocktails…I can’t wait to go back for dinner.
II Brunettes has a great “almost the end of summer” sale. I stopped in to check it out and came away with this beauty from Loren Hope. Half off! Select clothes and shoes are also on sale. Great time to pick up pieces for next year…and let’s face it-that you can wear well into October. We do live at the beach!
Saturday evening was spent at The Family Circle Cup Stadium for the 8th annual Hootie & The Blowfish Homegrown Roundup. The lineup included Drivin’ & Cryin’, Edwin McCain and Hootie. The group of friends that I go with every year has seen these folks play great music for the last 20 years. Darius even made a joke to that effect during Hootie’s set. The 2 night event benefits school children in the Charleston Metro area. Concert goer’s are encouraged to bring school supplies or can make a cash donation online when purchasing tickets. How cool is that!
Sunday’s deluge was the perfect setting to catch up on reading and research. Check out this article from Travel & Leisure on Most Senic Waterside Drives. So many beautiful places…most of which I did not know existed!
New author, new novel…done! And When She Was Good by Laura Lippman was such a quick read-the kind of book you read until 2 in the morning without knowing it. She has written 10 crime thriller novels-all with a modern twist. I ordered After I’m Gone from Amazon.com last night. I can’t wait to get started.

I definitely have Fall on the brain! Sorry this post has taken me so long to get out today…it’s a new world right now for Catg. Stay with me…I promise to be more consistent moving forward!
Happy Week! XOXO, Catherine
