Ay Kimono…

Do you??!  Kimono’s hit the scene as something other than something eccentric Aunt Edna used to wear until about 2 years ago.

The ever stylish Devon Rachel posted about her new favorite kimono and the different ways she would be styling it.  I had to run out and buy the very one…thus the beginning of my love affair with this interesting piece of clothing.

Kimono 2

I scored this cutie…half shrug, half kimono at II Brunettes.  I needed something to go over my shockingly non-tan arms and this totally did the trick!  The price point is uber-reasonable and they have many color/length choices.  I debuted it with my Joe’s Jeans Vintage Reserve skinny’s, Joie Silk Tank **on sale at piperlime.com, Jeffrey Campbell Heels and jewels from Melvin, Vanessa Mooney and Ann Ladson Jewelry.

Other adorable options are the Mystic Pearl Cover Up from Billabong, the Swell Wanderer Embroidered Top (love the long sleeves, perfect for fall), this Awesome Kimono Maxi dress from Nordstrom, and this option from Topshop.

In other news as we move into the weekend (YEA, YIPEE,  HOORAY!!!) Gigi New York is having their summer sale.  Their famous Uber Clutch, Teddie Tote and Crossbody are all on super sale.  Get on it!

I am headed out of town this weekend for a true ROAD TRIP with my girls to see some great live music in Macon, Georgia.  I can’t wait!  Watching the clock this morning for sure!  Have a wonderful weekend friends!  XOXO,  Catherine

With Jazzfest on the brain, I am scouring the web for easy to pack options for my trip!  Rickshaw Designs lightweight tops, tunics and kurtas are perfect for the long days of music in the steamy bayou.  Piperlime currently has an easy to navigate occasion dress feature.  I landed on the Tinley Road green shift in about 2 seconds.  I will pair that with the simple gold earrings from Ann Ladson for a night out in The Quarter.  The O’Neill bag is perfect for festival necessities-sunscreen, bottled water, lipgloss, camera, etc…
What’s on your Wednesday Wishlist??!

Cheers and have a great day!  xoxo,  Catherine
