I had such a fun-filled Halloween weekend! Everyone went the extra mile to dress up, bring yummie snacks and embrace the spirit of the spooky evening! I tried a new chicken chili this year…more on that this week! It was pretty delish if I do say so myself!
Time to get to it friends! Happy Monday all! XOXO, Catherine
Black on Black on Black…classic! A silk shirt+skinny pants+heels+lots o’ jewels pretty much sums me up in the fall and winter months when I am trying to throw something together that is comfortable and acceptable for work. My two favorites from this outfit are the James Jeans Twiggy Legging in flat black and my Christina Jervey Goddess Cuff.
Pitt Street in the OV provided the perfect setting for Kim and I to snap these pics. One of the many streets in our beautiful city that has remained for the most part untouched!! Cozy up to the counter at the Pitt Street Pharmacy for the best grilled cheese ever and a real cherry coke. Stop in Out of Hand for a unique retail experience then lunch at The Old Village Post House. Views of the Harbor are a stone’s throw away…perfection!
Get outside! It’s gorgeous out there!!! XO, Catherine
I don’t know about you…but at this point in the summer I am ready to 86 my entire closet, press the reset button and move into Fall attire. I cannot wait for football weekends, oyster roasts, tall boots and new denim. Too bad it’s still 90 degrees.
As I looked online last night the following images are my top four looks for fall (thank you Pinterest!!). Time to purge, look into possible investment pieces and GO!!!!!!
I love-love the bootie, fringed kimono and over-sized clutch in this snap. The booties and purse are a must this Fall. Nordstrom has these suede bad boys from Sole Society, this option from Isola with gold hardware and these rag & bone beauties (worth the investment). Clare Vivier has the ultimate flat clutch. Check out her website. It’s amaze.
There are so many things I idolize in this look. I imagine she is off to lunch at Le Cirque after securing a three movie deal for her client Miss X in the latest YA film franchise. This look is a BIG time reminder that I need to ramp up my daytime attire. Ann Taylor as become one of my favorite places to shop for work wear. The price point is right on target-and they have given the every day basic a new edge that I love! This color blocked skirt and silk top are great transition pieces. Once the fall cool off begins, throw on this Moto Jacket from Nordstrom and voilà!
Whereeeee do I start! I think I have found THEpair of jeans that I will wear to death this winter. Madewell has the greatest denim bar-and has added the skinny skinny jean: deconstructed version to their already stellar line up. I tried these on the other day-they fit my oddly shaped body like a glove. For me to feel good in jeans out of the gate is a huge accomplishment. They are the perfect fit for curves, but hug in all the right places-legs are stovepipe…perfect for heels and tall boots! Pair them with a crispy white button down from Thomas Pink, JCrew boyfriend sweater, sassy T-Strap pumps and you are good to go just about anywhere!
It’s so much fun to think about all of these great looks…I’ll probably be able to live them in about 4 months! The thermometer hit 97` today in Chuck-town! Still scorching on the coast…as it should be! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!
