I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday month! I have loved (almost) every minute of it-seeing friends and family, celebrating the season, decorating my house, party planning, shopping, wish listing-all a blast! December was extremely fast and furious-I know that I have been an awful holiday blogger! I have learned so much in this inaugural year of Lavie…one of the main aspects being time management, the importance of pre-planning and organization. So…with that said, my first New Years resolution is to post at least twice a week-no matter what!
First on the list a yummie New Years cocktail. (staring Champy, of course!!)
So easy, it’s a sin…and deliciously sinful! Gayot Guide to the Good Life has the Top Ten Sparkling Wines to ring in the New Year with. My top choice is Domaine J. Laurens Cremant de Limoux from Limoux, France (hello…the birthplace of bubbles!!).
Next, what to serve! Spicy Red(or Green) Pepper Jelly Cheese Spread is my holiday go-to when I have to take an app to a party.
I LOVE this savory treat! Take a cold block of Cream Cheese, add the recently refrigerated sweet/spicy jelly of your choice over the top and serve with crackers (I think it is best with Wheat Thins!). Voila…done!
My NYE plans are super laid back. Cocktail hour with friends and then carting over to a family friendly cul-de-sac party with tons of fireworks and good cheer-…boots, jeans and warm weather accessories will be the uniform. I ordered this sweater from Madewell (extra 40% off sale) in hopes that it will be here for NYE.
Time to say goodbye to 2014! These black Moto Skinnies and dove grey booties are also on the list! Club Monaco is also having a great sale…40% off sale and 50% off clearance. The Arleta Dress will be the perfect workday dress for 2015!
What are your plans for the last day of the year??! Unfortunately, I don’t have a ton of time for reflection and goal setting for 2015! Work, work out, then go out! That’s just how it goes for this chick. Thank you all so much for tuning in to Laviebythesea this year. I have enjoyed developing posts and reliving my silly little life with each of you. I look forward to next year and all the wonderful surprises that await each of us!
Have a safe, happy, Sparkly New Years! XOXO, Catherine
